We needed a home and termite inspection for a house we were looking to buy. It was our first time and we needed some extra help and explanations. It's a family business that has been around since 1989 so obviously they are knowledgeable, but we were pleasantly surprised by the concierge-like service they provided. Jamie was replying to emails quickly and during off hours, which sold us on choosing West Valley Structural for our inspections. Other inspectors that I reached out to were very cold and corporate feeling-some didn't even reply!

On the day of the inspection, Chester and Chester Senior arrived early-great sign. They completed their inspection and took the time to give a thorough walk-through with us. Their explanations were easy to comprehend and they were patient with my numerous questions. It was surprisingly a very fun experience!
I didn't think they could get any better, but they did. The inspection reports were extremely detailed and well thought out. It not only stated the problems, but reviewed the hazardous implications and signs to look out for. It also included additional information about material quality, life expectancy, and general costs-so informative. They even offer to review the report and answer any questions over the phone.
The entire process was seamless from start to finish. Highly recommend West Valley Structural.

As a local real estate agent and home investor myself - it is key to have a very detailed and responsive home inspector to help review homes I'm looking to purchase and also for my buyers and sellers. I have worked with Chester at West Valley Structural for Home, termite and structural inspections and repairs. With his general contractor experience as well - he is very knowledgeable and knows about the building of homes and a general idea of cost to repair items and has people to help fix items - which not many inspectors will be able to do. I seldom write reviews, but I just want to give a shout out to both Chesters for helping me close on my first house. They are the real deal! I spoke with Chester over the phone and he scheduled me in with little notice. They showed up to the inspection early and were very professional, thorough, patient and honest. After their inspection of the house, they explained their findings and answered all my questions. I had my report rushed and had it quicker than expected. I renegotiated with the seller with my home inspection report and was able to save some $$$ all thanks to them! Just got the keys a few days ago!!!

I needed someone to inspect my roof and it was Friday afternoon. Knowing contractors shut down early on Fridays, I really didn't have much hope of hearing back from anybody until the following Monday. Well, I was wrong. Chester with West Valley Structural responded that evening and said he could do the inspection for me within a day or two. He brought his drone (it's a high roof) and took some photos and had the report to me by Monday morning. An overall EXCEPTIONAL experience! Would definitely recommend him to anyone needing a roof inspection, or just a contractor in general that responds in a timely manner. Thank you Chester! My experience with you was awesome!
